Dear Mr. Martin:
Based upon a site visit conducted on April 22, 1999, the feature present in the evaluated area,
referenced by this Office as NBR-RRO 097, is a stream and subject to the Neuse River Basin
Riparian Area Protection Rules, Administrative Code T15A:02B.0233.
The point of buffer protection begins at the property line at the culvert on Trinity Road and the
center line of the creek is the property line. The area of protection is fifty feet on all sides of the
stream where fifty feet of forested vegetation exists. This area of protection is variable based on the
presence or absence of vegetation along the creek. The map received by this Office on April 29,
1999 delineates the area of riparian buffer.
