Dear Mr. Zarzecki:
NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF
ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES
RALEIGH REGIONAL OFFICE
Neuse River Basin
Riparian Buffer Rules
NBRRO 99-102
Weston & Highway 54
Project #98-3720
Wake County
On May 11, 1999, I met with you at the subject property to conduct a site visit for the above
referenced project. This project is referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office as NBRR099-102.
As a result, it was determined that there are no streams present on the property and that the two
features present on this tract of land tract are ephemeral/stormwater drainage and therefore not
subject to the Neuse River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection and
Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC 0233).
Please note, depending on the linear feet or acreage involved in this project, there may be
jurisdictional wetlands or waters that may require concurrence with the Corps of Engineers. This
letter only addresses the applicability of the Neuse Buffer Rules. Thank you for your attention to
this matter and if this Office can be of any assistance or if you have additional questions, please do
not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
Steve Mitchell
Environmental. Scientist
