Attach a vicinity map (i.e. street map) clearly showing the location of the property with respect to local landmarks such as towns, rivers, and roads. 2. Provide a detailed site plan showing property boundaries and proposed locations of vegetation clearing, structures (buildings, retaining walls, docks, impervious surfaces, FORM: SSGP 10-2013 Page 1 of 3 etc.), rip rap, excavation or dredging below Full Pond/ Normal Water Level elevations, and construction access corridors. You may use the diagram provided at the end of this application form. 3. Attach a photograph of the shoreline/ buffer proposed to be stabilized. (Include a scale of some sort- a yard stick, shovel handle, etc.) 4. Describe the existing land use or condition of the site at the time of this application (residential, undeveloped, etc.): residential, originally had rip rap on shoreline 6. Property size (acres):.92 acres 7. Lake/ river/ ocean adjacent to property: Lake Norman 8. Describe proposed work (include discussion as to how hardening of shoreline has been avoided, or why it is necessary): Shoreline is a straight drop into lake, as result of last few storms shoreline has begun eroding into lake as result of not having enough rip rap to top of shoreline. If we don't add riprap the dirt and vegetation will fall into the lake. There are large holes in the shoreline making the land above unstable. Based on multiple contractor visits they have all said the only "permitable" solution is to replace and add 36' of linear rip rap aprox 3' high from base to top of shore 9. Total amount of disturbance (including all excavation, backfill, rip rap, retaining walls, etc.) below the normal pool lake level/ Normal Water Level in square feet or acres: total area would be 2' high x max 36' shoreline aprox 1-3' depth (base widest to top narrowest) =144 cubic feet, no disturbance nor work done to shoreline except to 11. Riprap has been dragged in from lake area illustrates holes in shoreline, making above ground very unstable and dangerous FORM: SSGP 10-2013 Page 4 of 7 area to right of area needing repair (right of the two above pictures) Riprap would start here and extend to a max of 36' shoreline to where it reaches area in stability with enough rip rap. Concrete table slab would be removed which slid from property during bad storms a few month back area above shoreline needing repair (buffer zone).
