rye. On February 19, and March 11, 1999, I conducted a site visits of the property involved in the above
`. referenced project. As a result, it was determined that Honeycutt Creek is the major water body
a. present on this property and there are several features that are at least intermittent streams and

F ' therefore subject to the Neuse River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy;
rotection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code TI5A:02B.0233.
u ,The map received by this Office on April 6, 1999 delineates the required buffer along the periphery
t'of Honeycutt Creek and the subject intermittent streams. Accordingly, the buffer that currently
exists within 50 feet of Honeycutt Creek and the unnamed tributaries, must be maintained. This
correspondence is intended to inform you of the rule and to prevent a possible violation.
I Please be reminded that the riparian buffer is protected in two zones totaling fifty feet of protection
and in accordance with the Rule, sheet flow from stormwater must be maintained, to the maximum
extent practical, through dispersing concentrated flow and/or re-establishment of vegetation to
"..maintain the efficacy of the riparian area.
