Dear Mr. Zarzacki:
t
On March 15, 1999 I met with you at the subject property to conduct a site visit for the above referenced
project. This project is referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office as NBRRO 99-0. It was determined that
' there are several features on site that are at least intermittent streams and therefore subject to the Neuse River
Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian
Areas Administrative Code T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC 0233).
The streams (features) have been delineated on the map received by this Office on the date of the site visit
and the areas applicable to protection under the Neuse Buffer Rules are areas were forest vegetation exists
and are as follows:
Pond 1 has been drained. That feature and downstream are not subject;
t From the channel (feature) above Pond 2 at Flag NBR 2 along a line toward Flag 104;
Fifty feet from the edge of the water around Pond 2; and
Fifty feet from the edge of the water around Pond 3 where forested. This area includes NBR Flag
to Flag 204 on the western side and NBR Flag to the spillway on the eastern side.
a° Thank you for your attention to this matter and if this Office can be of any assistance or if you have
' additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Steve Mitchell
