property involved in the above referenced project. It was determined as

: ,h y" J This Office has assigned the reference number of NBRRO 99-040 to this
'$project. The drawings that were presented and accepted February 19, 1999
Y:• at the Raleigh Regional Office delineate the required protected buffer
j--'area. The riparian area around the subject water body must be protected
P 1 ..to avoid any activity that would result in water quality standard
violations or disrupt the structural or functional integrity of the
riparian area.
In addition, sheet flow from stormwater must be maintained, to the
If' ;maximum extent practical, through dispersing concentrated flow and/or
reestablishment of vegetation to maintain the efficacy of the riparian
zone. Accordingly, the alternatives to direct stormwater discharge must
?x "be evaluated.
