The Division has reviewed your submittal of the No Exposure Certification for
Exclusion from NPDES Stormwater Permitting form, which we received on
November 18, 2019. The Division is unable to concur with your certification of
No -Exposure.
Based on an inspection of your facility on December 3, 2019 Mooresville
Regional Office staff found that industrial activities or materials on your site
either are exposed, or have the potential to be exposed. DEMLR cannot grant
your requested exemption from permit coverage when industrial activities or
materials are exposed or have the potential to be exposed. Please see attached
inspection report.

Inspection Summary:
Based upon the inspection no exposure can not be granted at this time. One open top dumpster containing trash was
located uncovered in the parking lot. Near this dumpster, new and old wooden pallets and boxes as well as wire racks were
stacked. Inside at least one of these boxes were multiple rusting metal bars. Many small, metal wire filters were scattered
around the covered dumpsters located near the building as well. In conversation with the site owner, it was learned that there
is a plan in place to address these issues and that until this point most of the work was primarily focused on the inside of
the building. Please notify Mooresville Reigonal Office after completing this work.
