On January 20, 1999 I met with you at the subject property. At your request, an evaluation of the stream
feature was performed to determine if the site would require compliance with the Neuse Buffer Rule. As
a result, it was determined that the feature present on this tract of land exhibits the characteristics of a stream
and is therefore subject to protection under The Neuse River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management
Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code T15A:02B.0233
(NCAC 0233).
This project is referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office as NBRRO 99-037. The subject feature and the
zone of protection has been delineated on the map received by this Office February 22, 1999 and the area
f , applicable to protection under the Neuse Buffer Rules runs adjacent to Departure Drive at the eastern edge
i of the property begins off of the subject property.
3 In accordance with the Rule, sheet flow from stormwater must be maintained, to the maximum extent
S 3 practical, through dispersing concentrated flow and/or re-establishment of vegetation to maintain the efficacy
of the riparian area.
