Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements

Dear Mr. Fleming:
The Town of Old Fort is in the process of completing funding arrangements
for the expansion of its wastewater treatment facilities. At this time a decision
has not been made as to the exact capacity of the plant however, we do know that
it will be either 600, 000 gpd or 800, 000 gpd.
We would sincerely appreciate .your reviewing the ability of the receiving
stream (Curtis Creek/Catawba River) to handle either one of the proposed dis-
charges. Once the effluent limitations have been established we can complete our
cost estimates and construction schedule.'

Dear Mr. Davis,
We are proud to say that we lave finaliv put together a package for fund-
jag the necessary improvements in our wastewater treatment plant . This will
consist of grants from E.F.A. , A.R.C. and our State Clean Water Bond Aw. Our
Town will supply the balance which will be approximately S276 ,000 or which we
have S170,000 of bond money approved by anprevicus referendum.
Since these grants are entirely different from our first applications. we
. are having to follow up with the necessary paper work. This should be com-
pleted early in 1931. wa will also have to send our inesign and specifications
to Raleigh for approval. This we intend = do soon as our revised zainer work
