Town of Havelock
Additional Influent Pump Station
and Plant Piping Change
Craven County
Dear Mayor Smith:
A letter of request for Authorization to Construct was received September 1,
1983, by the Division and final plans and specifications for the subject project
have been reviewed and found to be satisfactory. Authorization is hereby granted
for the construction of an additional influent pump station with dual 1200 GPM
pumps to operate in parallel with the existing pump station, approximately 90
lineal feet of 16-inch pipe between the nitrification tanks and-the final clarifiers ,
and all associated piping, valves, and appurtenances to serve the Town of Havelock's
Wastewater Treatment Plant.
This Authorization to Construct is issued in accordance with Part III paragraph
C of NPDES Permit No. NCO021253 issued April 15 , 1983, and shall be subject to
revocation unless the wastewater treatment facilities are constructed in accordance.
with the conditions and limitations specified in Permit No. NCO021253.
In event the facilities fail to perform satisfactorily, the Town of Havelock
shall take such immediate corrective action as may be required by this Division,
including the construction of additional wastewater treatment and disposal facilities.
