Dear Mr. Lorenzen:
On December 14 , 1998, 1 met with you, Ms. Roula Qubain and members of the Church at
? the subject property. An evaluation of the stream features were performed to determine
f whether the site would require compliance with the Neuse Buffer Rule. This specific project
is referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office as NBRRO-013.
As a result, it was determined that there two features on the property that are subject to
E a ` y. protection under the Neuse River Basin. Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy;
'Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code
T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC 0233).
E = ..The feature that begins adjacent to the Church is indicated near the middle of the plat map
and the other feature begins on the eastern edge of the property. Both features are shown
,with the required fifty foot buffer and continue on off property. These features are
represented and on the map received by this Office on December 16, 1998. This letter
addresses only those issues involving the riparian area. For information relative to the
H ,,Wetlands 401/404 issues, please contact Mr. John Dorney at 919-733-1786.
