The pennittee shall provide compensatory mitigation for unavoidable impacts to 0.81 acre of riparian, non-riverine wetlands at a 2:1 ratio (1.62 Wetland Mitigation Units [WMUs]) by the restoration of 1.62 acre of riparian wetlands at the Causey Fmm off-site pennittee responsible mitigation site in southeastern Guilford County, North Carolina. Causey Farm was originally described in Corps Action ID: SAW-2000-21655. The site was constructed in 2004, monitored for five years, and detennined to meet success criteria by letter dated January 13, 2010. Causey Farm yielded a total of 10.3 acres of riparian wetland credits exclusively for use for PTIA projects, 4 acres of which were used as partial compensatory mitigation for the runway 5L/23R and overnight express air cargo sorting and distribution facility project (SAW-2000-21655). Ofthe 6.3 acres of remaining riparian wetland credits (see attached), an additional2.6 acres of riparian wetland credits were used as compensatory mitigation for tree clearing authorized within on-site wetland preservation areas between the PTIA Air Traffic Control Tower and runway 5L/23R per letter dated November 30, 2009. Within14 days of receipt of this pe1mit, the permittee must supply a signed letter.stating that they understand and concur that 1.62 WMUs of the previously available 3.07 WMUs from Causey Fa1m have been applied to the project authorized under Action ID: SAW-2015-00920, that these 1.62 SMUs are no longer available to apply to any future project, and that 2.08 WMUs are cunently available at Causey Fmm for use on future PTIA projects, pending Corps review and approval. 5 PIEDMONT TRIAD AIRPORT AUTHORITY Mr. David E. Homewood May5, 2016 Page2 of2 • PTAA will retain copies of these executed forms • PTAA responsibilities specified on these forms have thus been satisfied Pursuant to Special Condition 20 of the subject Permit, PTAA understand and concur that 214 stream mitigation milts (SMUs) of the previously available 702 SMUs from the Causey Farm mitigation site have been applied to the project authorized under Action ID SAW-2015-00920, and that no additional SMUs are available at Causey Fann. Pursuant to Special Condition 21 of the subject Permit, PTAA understand and concur that 1.62 wetland mitigation units (WMUs) of the previously available 3.07 WMUs from Causey Farm have been applied to the project authorized under Action 10 SAW -2015-00920, that these 1.62 SMUs are no longer available to apply to any future project, and that 2.08 WMUs are currently available at Causey Farm for use on future PTlA projects, pending Corps review. Pursuant to confirmation from Sue Homewood e-mailed on April 20, 2016, PTAA understand that the Division WSRO has proof that PT i\A payments to the Cripple Creek and Bass Mountain Mitigation Banks have cleared, that Condition 2 of the subject Section 401 Water Quality Certification (WQC004054) has thus been satisfied, and that impacts specified in this Authorization Certificate may occm.
