NOTICE OF A CITIZENS INFORMATIONAL WORKSHOP
FOR PROPOSED BRIDGE REPLACEMENT AND TRANSPORTATION
IMPROVEMENTS TO ROWAN STREET INTERSECTIONS WITH
BRAGG BOULEVARD AND MURCHISON ROAD
TIP Project No. B-4490 WBS #: 33727.1.1 Cumberland County
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will hold the
above Citizens Informational Workshop on November 23 2009, between the
hours of 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the Airborne & Special Operations Museum,
100 Bragg Boulevard, Fayetteville, 28301.
The purpose of this workshop is for NCDOT representatives to provide
information and answer questions regarding this project. The opportunity to
submit written comments will also be provided. Interested citizens may attend at
any time during the above mentioned hours. Please note: there will be no formal
presentation.
NCDOT proposes to replace bridge no. 116 over the CSX Railroad,
Norfolk Southern Railroad and Hillsboro Street. In addition Rowan Street
intersections with Bragg Boulevard and Murchison Road will be revised This
project will improve vehicular safety and traffic operations on Rowan Street.
Traffic will be maintained on site during the construction process.
