FASTENERS CONNECTING TO BE DESIGNED BY AN COMPONENTS MUST BE STRONG ENOUGH TO HOLD THEM IN POSITION DURING THE LIFE OF THE BRIDGE. ENGINEER TO SUPPORT TEMPORARY CRIB ABUTMENTS MAY BE FILLED WITH ROCK OR COBBLE, OR MAY BE SOLID TIMBER ROTATED 90 DEGREES IN ALTERNATIVE LAYERS.
