Objectives Comments (Generally describe process for establishing goals/objectives) Section 7.1 of the Town's Phase II Stormwater Management Program identifies measurable goals to include development and distribution of materials, publishing a stormwater related newsletter, maintain a stormwater page on the Town's website and promote/provide additional educational programs. The Town has developed promotional flyers that are available at the Town Hall, Town Operations Center, and Town website. The Town is working on incorporating stormwater information in existing newsletters and will publish/maintain copies for inclusion in annual reports. The Town's website has been updated to provide information al flyers and contact information. The Town will work on additional education programs, seeking local groups to discuss issues. Contact information has been added to the Town's website and public information materials. All Town staff will be responsible for receiving calls and relaying concerns to the Town's Public Works Department to address concerns. The Town's first priority in public education and outreach has been to develop educational flyers and make them available on the Town's website and at key public locations. Direct outreach is the next step of implementation, consistent with the Town's Stormwater Management Plan, The Town will document any public outreach event and maintain records for documentation of compliance with stormwater permit and in support of annual reporting. Additional The Town has a Stormwater Ordinance that has been available on the Town's website and has been distributed Comments: to potential developers to assist in permitting questions. Prior Town administration developed a Phase II Stormwater Management Program that is dated as "July 2010 — Draft". There is not documentation of formal adoption of the Phase II Stormwater Management Program. The Town has used existing material to support renewal of its Stormwater Permit. The Town recognizes the need to formally adopt stormwater policies and procedures and to develop and implement mechanisms to monitor/document/promote its stormwater program to insure compliance with its permit. A formal adoption of a Phase II Stormwater Management Program is a key upcoming step to move forward with successful implementation. The prior draft document will require revisions to identify staff responsibilities and place into effect objectives that can be promoted among the public. Comments (Describe how provided and promoted) The Town's draft Phase II Stormwater Management Program states that Pitt County is the delegated authority to permit and inspect sedimentation and erosion control.
