Due to USM raw material supplier requirements, deliveries of scrap metal will not
conunence until a certificate of coverage is obtained for the facility. With a committed
start date of October .1, 2015, United Scrap Hetal, Inc, requests review and issuance of
a certificate of coverage under General sVPDES Permit AICG200000 -as quickly as
possible.
The site is currently occupied by Kelly Pipe Company; LLC, who is in the final stages of
relocating to a new facility. Although USM has no current industrial activities occurring
at the site, there is potential for some outdoor operations, including temporary scrap
metal piles and sorne cutting of steel sections. Indoor operations will include sorting,
bailing, and loading of scrap metal for shipment to the customer.

operations determined, work will commence on completion of the Stormwaier Pollution
Prevention Plan for the USM — Charlotte Facility.
