However, the monitoring is only required to be performed if they use > 55 gallons of new motor oil (Sec B) or if they discharge from oil/water separators or secondary containment (Sec C). See permit text below. So they may or may not have to. I wouldn't count on our 2010 report as being the final word on monitoring. Part II, Section B - vehicle maintenance activities and utilizing more than 55 gallons new motor oil per month when averaged over the year (those vehicle maintenance activities not utilizing more than 55 gallons of new motor oil per month are not required to conduct analytical monitoring).
