A Compliance Evaluation Inspection was performed on January 18, 2012 by George Smith, of this office. Ms.
Wilma Shell, Office Manager, was present for the records and data review.
Permit
The NPDES general permit.became effective on August 1, 2008 and expires on July 31, 2013. Please make
yourself familiar with the new monitoring requirements in this permit. A copy of the permit was given to Ms.
Wilma Shell.
Analytical Monitoring is required if the exposed sawdust pile is on site for more than seven (7) days.
(Part II, Section B, Table 1)
2. Qualitative Monitoring is required per Part II, Section C, and Table 4
Records & Reports
The qualitative monitoring and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SPPP) were kept in a 3-ring binder. They
are both meeting the permit requirements.
Facility Site Review
A facility site inspection showed four (4) stormwater Outfalls.
The stormwater from the mill and timber yards does not appear to reach the surface waters.

The site is well maintained and there are no signs of any spills.
Self -Monitoring Program
The qualitative monitoring records for the four (4) Outfalls were documented and performed as required by the
permit.
The analytical monitoring for on -site vehicle maintenance is not required since 55 gallons or greater per month
of new motor is not used.
It is my understanding that the saw dust is not kept on the site for more than seven days. It is hauled to
Louisiana Pacific. You must keep records that document that the saw dust is not present for more than seven
days. Otherwise, analytical monitoring as described below will need to be implemented.
Below you will find four certified labs that are capable of performing the stormwater analysis for pH, Chemical
Oxygen Demand (COD), and Total Suspended Solids (TSS). Please perform these tests twice a year. (Once
during January — June, and once during July — December)
