Please remove the storm water permits from Bernhardt Furniture Companies
list of permits. Bernhardt Furniture Company Plant 1 1548 Morganton Blvd,
Lenoir NC 28645 permit number 180157 has been sold and will only be used
in the drying and processing of lumber. It will no longer be considered a
furniture manufacturing plant and therefore is not covered by the blanket permit

- this facility is for sale. The majority of this facility is currently being used as an equipment warehouse, a
portion is leased to a company that bends plywood. None of the facility is being used for manufacturing
furniture.
- The facility appears to have all of the components of the SWPPP required by the permit. The maps need
to be updated and stormwater outfalls labeled. It is recommended that you label your actual outfalls for ease
of inspection. Your monitoring and training records need to be improved, the premit requires 5 years of
records be kept. It is recommended that you review your SWPPP at least once per year and make updates.
a simple log sheet in the front of the plan for recording this review would be benefical.
- I recommend that all exposures be removed; pallets, spare equipment, saw dust piles etc. and that you
request that this permit be rescinded

* A Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SPPP) Certification Form. Completion of this form is required to
certify that you have developed and implemented the SPPP as per the conditions of the permit. This form
must be completed and returned to the Division within 30 days of receipt of this letter.

* Five copies of the Analytical Monitoring form and five copies of the Qualitative Monitoring form
* A copy of a Technical Bulletin on the Stormwater program which outlines program components and

Your coverage under this general permit is not transferable except after notice to DWQ. The Division may require
