Skvarla, III Secretary .On January 30, 2013, Mike Mickey of this. office met with you and Lindsay Dilley to perform a NPDES General Stormwater Permit Inspection at the Haworth plant located on English Road in High Point. The facility was found to be compliant with the stormwater permit. The inspection findings are detailed below and an inspection checklist is attached for your records. L Permit Haworth holds NPDES Stormwater Permit No. NCG180036 for the discharge of stormwater from the facility. The permit expires next on August 31, 2014. 2. Records/Relports Part II, Section A of the permit requires the development of a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SPPP). A copy of the SPPP, updated in January 2013, was available for review during the inspection. The plan was found to be thorough and complete. 3. Facility Site Review A tour of the property found the site to be clean and well managed. Observations did not reveal any problems or concerns. No liquid materials are stored outdoors. 4. Effluent/Receiving Waters Stormwater from the property is discharged from two outfalls that lead to a tributary of Payne Creek, class "C" waters in the Yadkin -Pee Dee River Basin. Both outfalls were observed and were found to be clean and free of any accumulated debris. Monitoring Program Part II, Section B of the permit requires that qualitative (visual) monitoring be performed and documented semi-annually. The file review showed that this monitoring was performed as required. The two monitoring events in 2012 occurred on April 9 and September 28. The analytical monitoring for on -site vehicle maintenance referenced in Part II, Section C of the permit is not required since the. facility uses less than 55 gallons of new motor oil when averaged over the calendar year. Reason for Visit: Routine Comment: The Haworth site appeared clean and well managed. The facility has two designated outfalls. Outfali #1 receives stormwater from the front and lower side of the facility, Outfall #2 is located at the back of the facility near the railroad tracks. Both outfalls were observed to be clean and free of any concerns. No chemicals are stored outside. All woodwaste is re -used as boiler fuel.
