The Winston-Salem Regional Office of the Division of Water Quality performed a storm
water inspection of Chambers Fabrics on August 19, 2009. This inspection falls under the
provisions of North Carolina General Statute 143-21 S. L. Marc Stokes of this office
performed the aforementiotied inspection.
Permit
Chambers received a Certificate of Coverage (COC), NCG170388, under the NPDES
General Permit NCG170000 in 2001, renewed in 2004 and 2009 and will expire in 2014.
The permit is associated with Standard Indusfrial Classification S1C 22.
Facility
Chambers is a manufacturer of fabrics. The facility does weaving production, printing and
finishing operations.
The facility is approximately 12 acres in size of which approximately four is impervious
surface. The plant consists of one major building housing the production operations of
145000 sq. ft.
All floor drains in the facility discharge to the City of High Point. No vehicular
maintenance is performed on site. Chemicals used in production are contained within the
facility. The facility has one compactor, which is covered, and four empty above ground
storage tanks.

The facility has one discharge point discharging to an unnamed tributary of the lfichland
Creek. Upon review no sighs of distressed vegetation were present,

The SPPP, as prepared and Undated; was reviewed and contained all items as listed within
the permit.
Analytical Monitoring
There does not exist the requirement for analytical monitoring as no vehicular maintenance
is performed on site.
Qualitative 1Tonitorine
Monitoring records were available for review and met the permit requirement.
Employee Training
Employee training records were present and reviewed.
