I The reported value is between the laboratory method detection limit (MDL) and the laboratory method reporting limit (MRL), adjusted for actual sample preparation data and moisture content, where applicable. U The analyte was analyzed for but not detected to the level shown, adjusted for actual sample preparation data and moisture content, where applicable. E The concentration indicated for this analyte is an estimated value above the calibration range of the instrument. This value is considered an estimate. MRL Method Reporting Limit. The MRL is roughly equivalent to the practical quantitation limit (PQL) and is based on the low point of the calibration curve, when applicable, sample preparation factor, dilution factor, and, in the case of soil samples, moisture content. PQL PQL: Practical Quantitation Limit. N The analysis indicates the presence of an analyte for which there is presumptive evidence (85% or greater confidence) to make a "tentative identification". P Greater than 250lo concentration difference was observed between the primary and secondary GC column. The lower concentration is reported. Sernianrtual Sampling - JAN/JUN 2017 Sharpe Brothers - Plant 2 7809 Lebanon Road Greensboro, North Carolina 27409 Perm it -No. ]sICG 160000 TO Cl1hom It May Concern: The El Group. Inc. (El) is authorized to collect semiannual stormmvater samples from the stormwater discharge o>_Itfalls serving the Sharpe Brothers - Asphalt Plant 42 located at 7809 Lebanon Road in Greensboro, North Carolina. For the period of Januat'v-June 2017. no stormwater sampling was completed due to no outfall discharge being present at the SOM (stormwater control measure) to sample duringr representative storm events. As per NC Division of Water Quality, a representative rain event is defined as follows. A representative storm event is a storm event that measures greater than 0.1 inches of rani fa11 and that is preceded by at least 72 hours in which no storm evem measuring greater than 0.1 inches has occur -red. A single stann event may contain up to 10 consecutive hoots of no pi-ecil tatton. Furthermore, the SCM in -place appears to function as a "infiltration" pond: allowing water to collect, sedimentation to deposit, and stormwater to infiltrate/evaporate. During the period of January -June 2017. the subject property was visited several times, on March 31st. April 241". Mav 12"'. and May 241", during qualifying representative storm events of 0.43 in., 2.44 in- 0.10 in., and 0.88 in., respectively. During the site visits it was confirmed that stormwater did collect within the basin of the SCM but did not discharge offsite. Furthermore, as mentioned above, no outfall is present to sample. As a result, no sampling was conducted. Please contact us at (919) 657-7500 if you should have any questions. If we can be of further assistance. please do not hesitate to contact us.
