STORMWATER DIVISION CODING SHEET NCG PERMITS PERMIT NO. /v 0 O 3 Cr Z DOC TYPE XHISTORICAL FILE ❑ MONITORING REPORTS DOC DATE ❑ 2019 o5 0:9 YYYYMMDD Reed, Isaiah L From Reed, Isaiah L Sent Friday May 3 2019 9 08 AM To Strickland, Shane Cc Georgoulias, Bethany, Aiken Stan E Subject Case Farms Shane, I inspected Case Farms (NCG060392) on April 30, 2019 1 met with Jason Nicks, Michael Rash, Phil Richardson, and William Pate on site During the inspection, the following items were noted 1) On page 3, question 13, of the NOI "No" is checked concerning vehicle maintenance Vehicle maintenance is conducted at the facility They maintain the trucks used for shipping After discussing the maintenance area with the manager of the garage section, it was discovered that they also use in excess of 55 gallons/month of oil as well I informed Mr Pate about the change in has Analytical monitoring requirements What I did not know was if you would need them to resubmit the NOl correcting the issue 2) There was some confusion concerning the current and proposed site conditions relating to their storm water infrastructure I informed Mr Pate that this will be the primary element moving forward concerning his SWPPP 3) Their appeared to be a very high potential for process waste to get into the storm drains I anticipate various benchmark issues 4) Due to the buildup of feathers and other organic debris in the storm drains, I anticipate issues with COD in particular, and will specifically look for them to address storm drain preventative maintenance in their SWPPP 5) There was one area of the facility where process water was not being contained Mr Pate has assured be that those areas will be addressed ASAP If you have any other questions, or would like to see pictures, Just let me know Thanks, Isaiah 4NQA;nOEQ: kiptnftwo W t-n-va—awmak Qwfity Isaiah L Heed.
