RE: Application for NCG06 General Permit for Stormwater Discharges
Cambrex - High Point Facility
4180 Mendenhall Oaks Parkway
High Point, Guilford County, North Carolina
To Whom It May Concern:
The above -referenced facility was purchased in September 2016 by Cambrex
Corporation (Cambrex) of East Rutherford, New Jersey. Through this process, it was
determined that a stormwater permit may be required. Therefore, the enclosed
stormwater permit application has been prepared for submittal.
Few activities are performed at the site that have the potential to be exposed to
stormwater, including a loading and unloading area, and a chemical storage building.
Cambrex - High Point welcomes a review by the Division of Energy, Mineral and Land
Resources (DEMLR) to assess if a no -exposure exemption is feasible.
The application describes the current Cambrex - High Point facility and operations.
However, Cambrex is considering the addition of another outdoor drum flammable
storage building and an expansion into a nearby building to perform similar activities.
Should this expansion occur, Cambrex will notify DEMLR of the expanded facility to be
covered under the permit.
Should you have any questions regarding this letter or the application, please do not
hesitate to contact me at 336.841.5250 (x-146) or brian.swierenga@cambrex.com.
Sincerely,
Brian Swierenga
