Southeastern Grain Corporation Calypso Grain Elevator
Duplin County
It has come to the attention of the Division of Land Quality that Southeastern Grain Corporation
business located on 770 Highway 117 Alternate does not have the required NPDES Stormwater
General Permit. General Permit NCG060000 is applicable to all owners or operators of
stormwater point source discharges associated with establishments primarily engaged in:
• Food and Kindred Products (SIC 20)
• Public Warehousing and Storage (SIC 4221-4225)
• Like industrial activities similar to these operations
Process for applying for a General Stormwater Permit:
You are required to apply for the NPDES Permit by filling out and mailing a Notice of Intent
(NOI) form to the Stormwater Permitting Unit, Division of Energy, Mineral, and Land Resouces
at 1617 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27699-1617. The general permit text is located on the
Division's website at http://portal.ncdenr.org/web/Ir/npdes-stormwater. There is a $100,00
fee required to make application for this permit.
You are directed to apply for the NPDES General Stormwater Permit NCG060000 within 30
calendar days of receipt of this correspondence. Should you need assistance completing the

Failure to apply for coverage under this NPDES Permit will constitute a violation of North
Carolina General Statute 143-215.1 (a), which states, no person shall make any outlets into the
waters of the State without receiving a permit from the Commission and has complied with all
