Inspection Summary:
DWQ staff was met on site by Gary Propst. A tour was conducted of the exterior of the facility, observing the stormwater
conveyances and outfalls and site conditions. During the visit, the SPPP manual was reviewed, operational activities and
existing stormwater exposures were discussed. Permit requirements were also reviewed as pertaining to the most recent
permit version, dated June 1, 2008. At the time of the inspection, the site was found to be in compliance with the permit.
The inspector noted that the facility appears to maintain good housekeeping practices and records were found to be in
good order.
Two noteworthy items were indicated during the visit:
- Erosion was occurring from unstable soils on the site. Temporary measures should be installed, such as erosion control
matting or blankets, until permanent groundcover can be established.
- To reduce stormwater exposure, roof structures could be utilized at certain locations on the site

follows; a stormwater pollution prevention plan, spill prevention and containment plan,
monitoring data/records for the site, including a copy of your Stormwater Permit, and records of

herewith the subject certificate of coverage to discharge under the subject state - NPDES general permit. This
permit is issued pursuant to the requirements of North Carolina General Statute 143-215 .1 and the
Memorandum of Agreement between North Carolina and the US Environmental Protection agency dated
December 6, 1983.
If any parts, measurement frequencies or sampling requirements contained in this permit are
unacceptable to you, you have the right to request an individual pen -nit by submitting an individual permit
application. Unless such demand is made, this certificate of coverage shall be final and binding.
Please take notice that this certificate of coverage is not transferable except after notice to the Division
of Environmental Management. The Division of Environmental Management may require modification or
revocation and reissuance of the certificate of coverage.
This permit does not affect the legal requirements to obtain other permits which may be required by the
Division of Environmental Management or permits required by the Division of Land Resources, Coastal
Area Management Act or any other Federal or Local governmental permit that may be required.
