Notes and Sketches, etc
17 acre easement, 2.55 square mile drainage,
Same ccpv areas identified for 8 years, which haven't worsened.
4+ major Log debris jam, flow backed up, trash, invasives, encroachment -
sewer, gas line & disc golf (resolved),
Reach 3 top - Grape & kudzu vine draping/strangling, privet, honeysuckle,
rose, kudzu, water significantly backed -up, undercut banks, incision, deep
pools, multiple exposed pipes, unnatural blue tint to water, signs of beaver
& past debris jams, wrack lines high in floodplain, decent stem count along
bank but many handing on to undercut bank, floodplain planted stem
density & vigor good overal, rock vane structures intact, high clay + silt
substrate & bank, sandy deposition bars, immediate floodplain very wet
/fully saturated, 16 actively mass wasting areas identified by DMS/Axiom -
nearly all on left side outer bends, bed sour, systemic issues, high water
hiding additional issue areas, Reach 3 is 2,100LF 245' DMS + 120' (Mac),
Mac - overall reach fairly stable,
Reach 1 - bank repairs, stems ok, meander cuts, incision, mass wasting
100LF+
Overall - 500 credit reduction (mass wasting, bed scour, reduced instream
habitat, invasives), invasives treatment (kudzu & privet), closed with
contingencies
