RE: Wastewater Collection System — Permit Numbers:
WQ0028790 — Bulk and Tee Hangar Construction Project, and
WQ0029430 —Asheville Regional Airport New Maintenance Facility
Dear Mr. Hothem:
Pursuant to our recent discussion, the Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority
hereby submits the following information in response to your offices October 22nd, 2019
letter requesting final engineering/closeout information on the above referenced permits.
1. As indicated during our discussion, these projects were both undertaken and
completed approximately 14 years ago. While it is assumed that the airport
submitted the required engineering certifications at that time, that documentation
is not on file with your office. Likewise, those specific documents are not on file
with our office. It is probable that they have been discarded in compliance with
our organizations records retention policy which is in accordance with North
Carolina statutes.
2. Regarding Permit Number WQ0028790 — Bulk and Tee Hangar Construction
Project — This project was completed during the timeframe originally planned and
has been in continuous operation since. A copy of the Record Drawings which
show the improvements being constructed in conformity with all specifications
and requirements are available. Excerpt sheets from those Record Drawings
depicting the sanitary sewer line are enclosed for your records.
3. Regarding Permit Number WQ0029430 —Asheville Regional Airport New
Maintenance Facility —This project was also completed in the timeframe
originally planned and has been in continuous operation since. As explained
when we recently spoke, the airport is presently in the middle of an archive
consolidation project, and most Record Drawings, including these, are presently

off-site being digitized, and not due back for several months. However, we do have
available excerpt sheets from the original project plans, to which the project was
constructed in compliance with. These drawings are enclosed for your records.
