PROJECT NARRATIVE: Please provide narrative description of planned erosion control measures and
appropriate maintenance activities. Include attachment if more space is required.
All erosion control measures will meet NCDOT standards. Erosion measures will be staged as
construction progresses. Coir Fiber matting will be used on stream banks as well as rip -rap for
bank stabilization. A 105' dewatering device will be utilized to allow demo of existing bridge and
the construction of the new arch structure. Soil stabilization timeframes are identified on page
EC-3 of design plans.
EROSION CONTROL DRAWING/PLAN: Please attach drawings showing planned locations of erosion
control measures on the project site (engineered drawings are not required)

Per CC Sec. 113D-29. In cases where less than one acre will be disturbed, applicants for building permits on any
construction will be asked to complete a form that explains how erosion control will be managed during
construction. The form will provide an opportunity to choose among simple approaches to keep mud and
sediment from leaving the property. The information provided on the form will serve as an erosion control plan
for the new construction. Applicants will need to know the downhill slope of the lot to complete the farm. No fee
is required for completing the form.
