(D) Total area disturbed: Project summary The applicant is proposing to extend a + 40' long pier 681 into Back Creek. + 272 sq.ft. Environmental setting The applicant owns a 95' x 1401 lot adjacent to Back Creek in the Town of Bath. Located on the property is a single family dwelling which is served by a septic tank sewage disposal system. Located near the northern property line of the lot is a + 40' long pier with attached boathouse. Also located near the center of the-lot is another + 40' long pier with a 161 x 8' L section. The lot is bulkheaded and no wetland vegetation is present. Project proposal The applicant is proposing to extend the center pier an additional 68'. The pier will be turned slightly to the south so as to run parallel to the pier of an adjacent property owner, Mr. David Jones. The applicant's new pier will be approximately the same length as Mr. Jones'. The applicant needs the additional length so that he can obtain deeper water. The water depth will be + 51 at NWL at the end of the new pier. The new pier will not impede navigation and it will be greater than 151 from either adjacent riparian property line. Environmental impact The project as proposed should have a minimal environmental impact. David L.
