Second Ave. Siler, North Carolina 27544 NCDENR NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES Subject: Permit No. NCO02644P Sludge to EQ Siler City WWTP Chatham County Dear Mr. Green: The Division received a letter from Cavanaugh `cQ Associates, P.A. dated October 26, 1999 regarding the proposal to send thickened sludge to the equalization basin for storage. Staff of the Division's NPDES Unit and Raleigh Regional Office have reviewed this request and found it to be satisfactory. No Authorization to Construct or permit modification is necessary for this activity. This approval is granted with the condition that, should the subject activity negatively impact treatment facility performance, it will be terminated and the situation rectified immediately with appropriate steps taken to provide interim sludge holding capacity. This approval does not affect the legal requirement to obtain other permits or judgements which may be required by other State, Federal, or Local government agencies.
