SUBJECT: Replace Bridge No. 35 over Glade Creek on S.R. 1422
(Fox Ridge Road) in Alleghany County, NC.
Thompson Gordon Shook Engineers, Inc., d/b/a TGS Engineers, has been retained
by NCDOT Division 11 to provide comprehensive professional engineering and
environmental services for the subject project. Included as part of these services,
TGS Engineers will complete an environmental document prepared in accordance
with the National Environmental Policy Act.
This project proposes to replace Bridge No. 35 over Glade Creek on S.R. 1422 (Fox
Ridge Road) in Alleghany County, NC.
We would appreciate any information you might have that would be helpful in
evaluating potential environmental impacts for this project. Please respond by
Monday, November 18, 2019, so that your comments can be used in the project
development process for this bridge replacement. Copies of the Vicinity Map (Fig.
1), Study Area Map (Fig. 2), and USGS Topographic Map (Fig. 3) are attached for
your use.
