Send all suspicious email as an attachment to report.spam@nc.gov<mailto:report.spam e nc.gov> Mr. Bottorff, Back on June 3, 2019 I sent an email (attached) regarding a compliance issue for the Caps Branch stabilization project located at the intersection of Oakwood Drive and Hwy 70. During a compliance inspection on May 29, 2019 we found that Caps Branch had been completely filled with rip-rap(pictures attached), which is not what was authorized by the Corps of Engineers (see attached site plan). I have yet to receive a response/plan that will bring this site into compliance. Please provide the requested restoration plan within 30 days of this email. Thank you, Billy W. The power started flickering due to a storm and I hit Send before adding additional recipients. My apologies. Added to the recipient list above are two City of Havelock employees: Frank Bottorff, City Manager and Sue Sayger, Public Services Director; and one Hazen employee, Tim Schueler, Senior Associate. Mr. Bottorff is listed as the Applicant on the PCN application. Please let me know if you have questions, etc. Thank you and have a great day, Linda Diebolt Senior Principal Scientist I HAZEN AND SAWYER 4011 WestChase Boulevard, Suite 500, Raleigh, NC 27607 919 833-7152 (office) 1919 863-9256 (direct) 1919 906-1775 (cell) ldiebolt@hazenandsawyer.com hazenandsawyer.com -----Original Message ----- From: Diebolt, Linda Sent: Thursday, August 1, 2019 3:56 PM To: Standridge, Billy W CIV USARMY CESAW (US) <Billy.W.Standridge@usace.army.mil> Cc: Scarbraugh, Anthony<anthony.scarbraugh@ncdenr.gov>; Pullinger, Robert C <chris.pullinger@ncdenr.gov>; Thompson, Emily B CIV USARMY CESAW (US) <Emily.B.Thompson@usace.army.mil> Subject: RE: Emergency Permit Request - Hurricane Florence Damage, Caps Brach Bank Stabilization, SAW-2018- 01909 - NON- COMPLIANCE Billy, Hazen is working with the City to address the riprap issue. We apologize for the delay. We did not realize until late last week that the City did not get your email from June 3rd. We have been in correspondence with the City all week and will respond on their behalf very soon. Thank you for your patience.
