Quality Impacts)
State project B-5323 involves the replacement of the existing NCDOT Bridge #143 on SR 1442 over John H. Kerr Reservoir. Bridge #143 consists of 1 @34.9', 1 @45', 1 @35,,
1 @44.9' timber floor on I -Beams with timber caps and piles. The proposed bridge consists of 2@45', 2@55' 21" cored slab with 4'-0" caps. The effective FEMA floodplain
mapping indicates that the proposed crossing is located in Zone AE and was studied by Limited Detail Study methods. No deck drains are required for the bridge.
