This bridge project is located over Sevenmile Swamp on SR 1804 (Houses Mill Rd.). The adjacent area
contains some designated wetland areas.
CenturyLink (Telephone)
The existing underground telephone cables along the east side of SR 1804 (Houses Mill Rd.) are
in conflict with the proposed new bridge and must be relocated. Centurylink will install new telephone
cables along the east side of SR 1804 (Houses Mill Rd.) The creek crossing will be bored to eliminate
impacts to the creek and wetland area. There are no wetland impacts from CenturyLink's relocation.

• Directional drill -L- STA. 13+19 +/- to 20+25 +/-
• Open cut -L- STA. 20+25 +/- to outside of project limits.
Duke Energy (Power)
The existing overhead power lines are in conflict with the proposed new bridge and must be
relocated. Duke energy will install power lines underground from pole 1CGG88 to 13NJ04. There will
be no environmental impacts from power.
