Additional information is attached as well. Minimum flow: The required minimum release flow is 1.9 cfs; the current release flow is between 3 and 4 cfs. As discussed during the meeting, the valve that controls the flow rate from the lake to the environmental release channel is aging, and its condition is unknown. Due to its age and unknown condition, the valve will be left in its current position, in an effort to avoid the valve becoming jammed or otherwise inoperable in a fully open or closed position. Therefore, the current release rate will be maintained through the construction period and following completion of the project. The flow rate will be visually monitored as it currently is, visually assessing the water surface elevation relative to the weir structure that is situated in the upper portion of the environmental release channel. Delineation map: See attached figures Proposed sills: Discussions amongst the project team following the October 9th meeting resulted in the decision to eliminate all grade control sills and bank stabilization work from the upstream most portion of the project. Therefore, impacts associated with site numbers S1, S2, S3, and S4 are no longer included in the current permit application. The bank stabilization and utility protection components of the project may be undertaken in the future under a separate project and will be submitted for regulatory review at that time. Revised plans and figures are attached. Stream restoration plan: Temporary impacts to UT 1 (impact S7 - construction access) may occur in order to accommodate construction access to BS #2 and to the base of the bridge #5 abutments. The proposed access is over an existing slope that is presently vegetated with maintained grass to the edge of water. Construction mats will be used to protect the slope and existing vegetation. The construction access mats are proposed to be placed adjacent to the stream channel. If the stream is found to be degraded by the construction activities, it will be restored to a condition similar to the existing condition, including stabilization using native stone material from within the project area (e.g., cobble and/or gravel) and revegetation of the banks with non -fescue sod and/or native grasses listed in the planting schedule shown on sheet L400, attached. The channel shall not be lined with imported riprap or other hardscape material, which would effectively change the character of the stream from the existing condition. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns or if there is any additional information we can provide that will facilitate your review.
