RE: NPDES Permit NCG140373
Dear Madam /Sir,
Thomas Concrete of Carolina would like to cancel of NPDES permit for our Airport Plant ready
mix concrete plant, located at 4217 Keeter Drive, Charlotte NC. The NPDES permit number is
NCG140373.
The Charlotte Airport Authority has condemned under Eminent Domain and acquired the Thomas
Concrete property, plant and equipment at this location. The Airport will tear down the plant and
remove/dispose of the equipment. There will be no further industrial activity at this site until the
Airport redevelops the site according to their development plans. As of October 22, 2019,
Thomas Concrete has ceased ownership and operation of this plant and site. No ready mix
concrete has been batched here for several weeks and there is no further industrial activity is
anticipated. As of October 22, 2019, the Airport has (under the terms of our agreement) assumed
responsibility for any environmental issues at this site. They are aware of our rescission of this
permit.
