not be constructed nor made operational.We understand that,in the future,should we wish to operate a non-discharge sewer
system,we shall apply for and receive a new Wastewater Collection System Permit.

Comments:When the old bridge was removed in Elkin,the sewers were not altered at the request of the Yadkin
Valley Sewer Authority (see attached letter). Trent Beaver w/ NCDOT will also verify if needed.

Dear Mr. Wade,
Regarding your project order#8-4820, please accept this as my acceptance of your plan to modify
the existing manhole and cap with concrete and leave the existing sewer line in place at the
intersection of Gwyn Avenue and Market Street in Elkin. Further,your design to raise the footers for
the stairs so as to not be in direct conflict with the existing sewer line seems fine to me.
