Hey Kevin,
This is not a good situation to introduce myself but I am passing on a notification regarding a sediment loss on the New
Leicester Highway project in Buncombe County (U-3301).
Evidently, the inlet protection of a stormwater drain pipe (the corrugated metal pipe in the photos) was overwhelmed
(see 3rd photo in 15Y attachment) and sediment was lost into a small creek. The sediment has been removed.
Please call me if you have any questions.

Roger —
Attached are two photos attachments that show the sediment that was lost over the previous weekend rain event as
mentioned below into a stream and the condition after cleanup efforts were made yesterday evening before forecasted
rain. The inlet protection has been installed and beef up. I apologize there are no pictures to show of that. I can certainly
get them if absolutely a necessary.
I believe Mr. Gibbs wanted us running all of these items through you versus the resident's ofice calling DEQ directly as
we have done in the past.
Please let me know if there are any questions or further information needed.
Thanks

Cody,
Attached is photos of loss of sediment in the creek Lt-L Sta 152+25. The sediment came through the 24" CMP, the
erosion measures installed on the inlet of the 24" CMP failed.
Thanks,
Jason
