On 18 March 1998, a field inspection was made of your property,off Buck Rd. near Clayroot in
Craven County. A manmade drainage ditch is located on this property. It was determined by this
office that the ditch was constructed for drainage and does not exhibit the characteristics of a
perennial or intermittent stream. It is therefore determined by this office that you are exempt of
the requirements of 15A NCAC 2B .0233: Protection and Maintenance of Riparian Areas with
Existing forest Vegetation.
