For this approval to be valid, you must follow the conditions listed in the attached certification. If you do not accept any of the conditions of this certification, you may ask for an adjudicatory hearing. You must act within 60 days of the date that you receive this letter. To ask for a hearing, send a written petition which conforms to Chapter 150B of the North Carolina General Statutes to the Office of Administrative Hearings, P.O. Box 27447, Raleigh, N.C. 276 1 1-7447. This certification and its conditions are final and binding unless you ask for a hearing. Temple Refuge Manager V #-.0r SANDY DIKE BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT : PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Sandy Dike Bridge Replacement Project is needed to provide safe access to a portion of the refuge for management activities and for potential public use in the future (see map). The existing wooden bridge faits to meet federal safety standards, the new structure will remedy this situation. Project work will be conducted by a contractor. First, the existing wooden bridge, pilings, and bulkheads will be removed (see sike`plans). The area behind the bulkheads will be excavated to a slope of not more than 2H: IV. The new bridge will be constructed in the same location as the existing bridge using precast concrete piles and steel deck construction (see site plans).
