The purpose of the evaluation was to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Permit WQ0000193. Staff members David Suther and Nathan Lindsay were present during the inspection. This facility is permitted for 300,000 gpd of flow and averages 180,000-220,000 gpd of flow in the summer months and 75,000 gpd in the winter. Effluent disposal consists of conjunctive and non -conjunctive reclaim water utilization on the Bald Head Island Club facility and two high -rate infiltration ponds. The facility is well maintained, and operation and maintenance records are detailed and complete. A review of monitoring records since the last inspection show 2 NODs in 2017 for total nitrogen and ammonia effluent limit non-compliance and 2 NOVs in 2018 for fecal, TSS, ammonia and BOD effluent limit non-compliance. Groundwater monitoring since the last inspection shows some violations of TDS in a few of the monitoring wells. TDS is typical in groundwater in an island environment, and the Wilmington Regional Office will continue to monitor the wells. The facility is compliant with the non -discharge permit W00000193. All of the conjunctive reclaimed water irrigation is managed by the staff of the Bald Head Island Club. The remaining disposal is mangaed by the WWTF.
