We've got wild trout and hellbenders in Dutch Creek, so there may be some restrictions on when and how you do the work. I've reached out to colleagues to help me address those issues. But for now, I've a few questions- • The PCN states that there are 4 crossings, but I only see 3 crossings on the plan set, and they all appear to be fords. Can you identify where the 411, is? Why are so many crossings needed? It seems a bit excessive on such a small section of stream. • This is going to be a very messy project, as Dutch Creek is large and there are numerous instream structures in the design. What can you do to control instream sediment liberation/loss? 1 Can you do the work on the small trib in the dry? How wide will the planted buffer be? Will the land stay in pasture? Thanks, Andrea Andrea Leslie Mountain Habitat Conservation Coordinator NC Wildlife Resources Commission 645 Fish Hatchery Rd., Building B Marion, NC 28752 828-803-6054 (office) 828-400-4223 (cell) www.ncwildlife.org S' f PFOA Get NC Wildlife Update delivered to your inbox from the N.C.
