WORK. ALL DAMAGE TO UTILITIES BY CONTRACTOR SHALL BE REPAIRED AT CONTRACTOR'S
EXPENSE.
2. CONTRACTOR TO REPAIR DISTURBED AREAS ON ALL PROPERTIES ACCESSED TO PRE-EXISTING
CONDITION.
3. CONTRACTOR SHALL DISPOSE OF EXCESS SOIL, ROCK, GRAVEL AND OF CLEARED AND GRUBBED
MATERIALS INCLUDING TREES, SHRUBS, AND INVASIVE SPECIES AT AN APPROPRIATE LOCATION IN
ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE LAWS & REGULATIONS.
4. DISPOSE OF TRASH AND DEBRIS GENERATED OR COLLECTED DURING WORK ACTIVITIES OR
INDICATED ON PLANS AND DISPOSE OFFSITE IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE LAWS &
REGULATIONS.
CONSTRUCTION NOTES:
1. LOCATION OF FEATURES TO BE DELINEATED BY ENGINEER IN FIELD. NO CONSTRUCTION
SURVEY IS NEEDED FOR HORIZONTAL LAYOUT, HOWEVER MEASUREMENTS AND SURVEY
WILL BE REQUIRED AS NECESSARY TO ACHIEVE DIMENSIONS IN DETAILS.
2. EXCESS CUT MATERIAL FROM BANK GRADING TO BE REMOVED FROM 100-YEAR FLOODPLAIN
TO SUITABLE ON -SITE LOCATION (TO BE DETERMINED WITH LANDOWNER PERMISSION).
3. WORK SHALL BE LIMITED TO AN AREA THAT CAN BE STABILIZED WITH SEED, STRAW AND
MATTING BY THE END OF EACH WORK DAY.
4. REMOVE INVASIVE SPECIES FROM PROJECT AREA AND DISPOSE OF PROPERLY.
5. ALL STONE AND BOULDERS SHOULD BE HARVESTED FROM THE PROJECT AREA.
6. CONTRACTOR SHALL REPAIR FARM ROADS, AND RESTORE IT TO PRE -PROJECT CONDITION
PRIOR TO DEMOBILIZATION.
7. BACKFILL AREAS SHALL BE FILLED WITH PRIMARILY CLAY MATERIAL. FILL SHOULD BE
INSTALLED IN COMPACTED HORIZONTAL LIFTS NO THICKER THAN 12".
8. MARK TROUT BUFFER CORNERS WITHIN PROJECT LIMITS.

EROSION CONTROL NOTES:
1. CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL AND MAINTAIN EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL
DEVICES IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL REQUIREMENTS.
ADDITIONAL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL BASED ON WEATHER CONDITIONS

DISTURBANCE. ENGINEER TO APPROVE ANY STAGING AREAS NOT DEPICTED ON
PLANS.
4. INSTALL SILT FENCE ON STREAM SIDE OF ALL SOIL STOCKPILE AREAS OR STAGING
AREAS THAT CREATE BARE GROUND CONDITIONS OR STAGE OTHER MATERIALS OR
EQUIPMENT THAT COULD LEAD TO POLLUTION OF ADJACENT LAND OR WATER.
5. CONTRACTOR SHALL FOLLOW APPROVED HAUL ROUTES DEPICTED ON PLANS AND
SHALL NOT DISTURB OTHER AREAS WITHOUT ENGINEER APPROVAL.
6. INSTALL APPROPRIATE EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL DEVICES PRIOR TO
COMMENCING WORK.
7. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLE TO INSTALL ADEQUATE MEASURES WHEN CROSSING
LIVE STREAMS AT EXISTING FORD CROSSINGS IN ORDER TO PREVENT EROSION AND
SEDIMENTATION.
8. EQUIPMENT BROUGHT TO PROJECT SITE SHALL BE CLEAN AND FREE OF LEAKS.
9. CONTRACTOR TO MAINTAIN ALL EQUIPMENT AT LEAST 100 FEET AWAY FROM
STREAM AND SHALL MANAGE ALL FLUIDS TO PREVENT LEAKING ONTO GROUND OR
TO ALLOW FOR IMMEDIATE CLEAN-UP.
10, APPLY SEED AND STRAW TO ALL DISTURBED AREAS.
11. ALL DISTURBED AREAS SHALL BE GRADED, SEEDED AND STABILIZED SUCH THAT THE
SITE IS RETURNED TO CONDITIONS AT LEAST AS GOOD AS BEFORE THE PROJECT

Installation Notes:
Operate heavy grading equipment from the top of the banks to the maximum
extent possible.
Installation of the stream crossing shall not raise or lower the stream bed at the
crossing. Do not manipulate the stream channel upstream or downstream of
the crossing unless specified in engineering plans.
Cut slopes must be treated according as soon as possible after grading.
Operation and Maintenance:
Install gates to exclude livestock from crossing at all times except when crossing
is being used to move livestock.
Inspect the crossing and the fencing after any significant rainfall event.
If sediment or other debris accumulates at the bottom of the ramps, carefully
remove without damaging stone base or filter cloth. Spoil material shall not be
placed in the stream.
Contact SWCD or NRCS personnel if problems with the crossing or components
of the crossing arise.

RESTING ON TOP OF PARALLEL BASE LOGS. BASE LOGS SHALL BE 6"-12" DIAMETER.
