E. Impact Justification and Mitigation
1. Avoidance and Minimization
1a. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing the project:
While the Applicant could position the structure beyond the 75' AEC line, but less than 30 linear feet of normal high water, the Applicant situated the
house and pool much further back, thereby avoiding approArnately 2700 SF of wetland impact. Also, the Applicant is only impacting wetlands where
necessary, to construct the dwelling and pool apron and provide for a minimal maintenance corridor.
1 b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques:
Silt fence will be installed prior to any significant land disturbing activities. This should ensure that the sediment does not discharge into the remaining
wetlands, located within or outside the project limits.
2. Compensatory Mitigation for Impacts to Waters of the U.S. or Waters of the State
2a. Does the project require Compensatory Mitigation for impacts to Waters of the U.S. or Waters of the State?
