N? 7F,'c!i1 Yachtsman Dock Association Page 2 9. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The Yachtsman is an existing 18 unit condominium complex located at 111 Florida Street, in Carolina Beach, NC. The Yachtsman property is 200 feet in depth from the street and 120 feet wide along the shoreline of Carolina Beach Yacht Basin. Existing amenities include a swimming pool and an eight (8) slip boat docking facility. The Yachtsman Dock Association consists of the owners that have purchased one of the boat slips with their units. The existing dock consists of a shore parallel floating dock, 90 feet long by 6 feet wide, with 4 finger piers, 32 feet by 4 feet, perpendicular to the main dock. The waters of the Carolina Beach Yacht Basin are classified as SB, by the N.C. Division of Water Quality. The area is not a Primary Nursery Area (PNA), as designated by the N. C. Division of Marine Fisheries. The applicants are requesting to modify their existing dock to add one (1) additional boat slip. The proposal consists of the addition of a 18 feet long by 6 feet wide section of floating dock to the existing dock. A fifth finger pier, 32 feet by 4 feet, and the installation of four (4) mooring pilings, one between each finger pier, would complete the proposed dock. 10.
