All of these herbicide applications are outsourced. A twenty-five foot buffer is maintained for surface waters unless an aquatic mixture is used. Duke Energy Carolinas has developed and implemented Pesticide Discharge Management Plans (Transmission/Distribution and Balance of Operations - Non Transmission/Distribution) in accordance with the subject permit. The records reviewed during the inspection were organized and well maintained.
