I read about the issues with Cashiers Lake and the proposed housing development around the lake. We split our time
between Sapphire and Naples, Florida and have always enjoyed this area for its tranquility. The area's natural beauty
and pace of life make living here peaceful and enjoyable.
We have seen first hand how the overgrowth of housing can impact a community. In Naples, Florida, the city went from
a small fishing village to a city jammed with housing development after housing development. Along with the increase in
housing, came traffic, traffic lights at every corner, and increased costs in utilities and services. The city simply does not
have the infrastructure to handle such an increase in population and housing.
If you want to keep this area as tranquil and peaceful as it is now, I strongly urge you to not approve another housing
development.
