Dear Mrs. Martin: 

The Solid Waste Section (Section) has reviewed the revised request to install groundwater monitoring 
wells in accordance with the USEPA CCR Rule 40 CFR Part 257.91 at the Duke Energy Carolinas Belews 
Creek FGD Landfill submitted on March 31, 2016 (DIN 25888).  The Section concurs with the request to 
install twenty‐four (24) monitoring wells.  The Section requests all analytical data collected from these 
wells to be submitted.
