PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT:
Comprehensive Inspection
STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: NONE
OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: NONE
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The permit and operations plan were reviewed. All documentation was available and presented in an orderly
manner.
2. Facility is permitted to receive MSW.
3. The Service Area for the facility is Lee, Moore, Chatham, Wake, Harnett, Randolph, Montgomery, Hoke,
Randolph, Cumberland, Scotland, and Richmond Counties.
4. The signage at the facility entrance was reviewed and was according to permit.
5. Arrangements have been made with the local fire department to provide fire fighting services.
6. The tipping floor and transfer trailer loading area is being maintained in good condition.
7. The windblown litter is being managed well. The perimeter of the facility looked excellent. Good Job!
8. The waste type being accepted into the facility was MSW. No problems noted.
9. Waste screening records are being kept up-to-date. Waste screening forms current through 11/6/17.
10. The Certified Operators are as follows:
Christy Barnes, Certified Transfer Station Operations Specialist, TS-2012044, expires 6/22/18
LeRoy Hatmaker, Certified Transfer Station Operations Specialist, TS-2010117, expires 10/19/19
Michael Moore, Certified Transfer Station Operations Specialist, TS-2016033, expires 5/25/19
Sharon Seagroves, Certified Transfer Station Operations Specialist, TS-2016038, expires 5/25/19
11. The leachate collection system was reviewed and is operating properly at this time.
12. The contingency plan has been updated with current phone numbers and posted in offices and in the scale house.
13. There are two fire extinguishers available for fire control.
14. The access around the facility is stable and no soil erosion was noted.
15. The facility is being maintained well.
16. Digital pictures were taken during the inspection.
